Chris and Kerrie's wedding was a less traditional type of affair. Instead of the church ceremony and a sit-down dinner, they opted for Kerrie's parents' back yard and a food truck. Speeches were held intermittently throughout the afternoon and evening instead of all at once.
They didn't want any posed formal photos (although I snuck a couple in!) but rather wanted lots of candid photos of their guests. I was happy to oblige and spent much of my time there hiding in bushes and behind empty beer bottles to capture uninhibited, genuine candid moments.
This wedding had loads of charm, and despite the backyard setting (or maybe because of it) there was a great aesthetic to many of the photos, especially when the sun dipped below the horizon for the night and the fairy lights made their presence seen.
